The Great Jefferson Historical Museum Treasure Hunt

Dozens of treasure hunters are expected to comb the streets and landmarks of the Historical District of downtown Jefferson, Texas. Teams of one to four people will be searching for clues that will direct them to the next "clue station" and the eventual grand prize of $1,000. This approximate two hour, wide-ranging adventure is a first for Jefferson and will present a unique combination of challenges and fun for its participants. The hunt's "clue master" has devised a system of cues that will show favor to neither residents nor non-residents, young participates or those not-so-young. Effective teamwork will be the key. While the quickest teams returning will receive a bonus, even the last ones will still have a chance to win the prize.Treasure maps amd map legends will be provided to each team.
The cost for each team of up to four people will be $100. Early registrtion may be accomplished by calling or visitin the museum, and will earn a bonus change at winning. Minimum age for formal participation is 16, and participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All contestants must sign a wavier of liability. The event will be held rain or shine.
