What is going on?


New Exhibit has been added:

        Artifacts from the early Jewish settlers in Jefferson make up the new exhibit currently on display in the JHSM.  (see more under "Exhibits" tab)


Completed the 6th Civil War Symposium:

         Since Jefferson played a key role in the Trans-Mississippi Department's military/industrial complex, it is an ideal location to study this part of our history.  (see more under "Events" tab)


Moved to the next stage in ADA project:

         It is obvious that 120+year old JHSM building has an access issue.  The ADA project has completed the second phase to install an elevator. (see more under "ADA" tab)


Held the 1st Annual Museum Treasure Hunt:

          A new event was added this year which involved using historic sites and information as clues to win the $1000 prize.  


Completed the 6th Train Days Event:

           In partnership with other organizations in Jefferson, our train history is showcased each year.  (see more under the "Events tab)


New book added to the Book Store:

           A History of the Jewish Citizenry in Jefferson, Texas, has been added to the JHSM Book store.  (see more under the "Events" tab)


Collections being digitize:

            JHSM has started adding the collections and objects to a computerized inventory.  (see more under the "Events" tab)


iTour Sign installed:

            JHSM has its iTour sign. (see "Events" tab for more information)
